I ordered this part for 04 Explorer 4.0 SOHC. My ABS light came on intermittently and I lost my drive even though the ABS light didn't come on. It was an exact replacement and seems to have solved my ABS problem. The supplied cable was not used. When installing I used google to find the installation procedure. It is recommended to fill the sensor with brake fluid upside down to remove air from the sensor and then remove the old sensor. Wait for the fluid to start bubbling up in the master cylinder bore. Quickly turn the new sensor over and attach it. Liquid does not bubble quickly. Lost no more than 1/4 teaspoon that dripped down. I'm repeating these instructions because my problem with the ABS light started when the master cylinder was replaced at the shop. Apparently the old sensor was put in place and NOT bled. When I pulled out the old sensor, it was dry underneath. It took about 5-10 seconds for the liquid to bubble up in the hole. Maybe I had a "failure" sensor and problems with the ABS had air in the system. Since I had a new sensor I put it in, but the old sensor might be good - not sure. As a side note, the cord I wasn't using had the correct connector I needed to fix my 98 Explorer windshield washer. The mice chewed through the wires right at the connector. I soldered a connector from this kit into the 98 harness and now my washer works on 98. Two in one.
