1995 F350 - Fixing my cruise control

Cruise control never worked on my 95 F350 7.3. One day I decided to fix it by throwing details at it. This part was first on my "guess and check" list. It turns out that's all! Comes with a new strap that connects to your old strap. Something to do with fixing a fire safety bug from the distant past.

Pros
  • Not just useful for its intended purpose
Cons
  • boring packaging

I need help with this.

Installed but cruise control still doesn't work. I didn't use the old fused wires, I'm using the wires that came with this kit. I did a continuity test directly on the switch contacts. I put the stick on the brake pedal and depress it along with the seat, but keep pushing and not depressing the brake pedal. What could it be, other than the new one was bad too?

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Maybe the price is a lot better if you buy the SW-6350

I have a 2003 Ford Explorer. I've been dealing with intermittent cruise control for over a year now and sometimes the ABS light would come on and then go off the next time I drove. Everyone has pointed out the ABS sensors to me, especially the rear ones, as that's a common failure point on these Explorers. After experimenting with my Google-Fu, I found that the ABS light turns on and off and the cruise control only works intermittently, likely due to a faulty brake pressure sensor switch. The…

1999.5 7.3 Powerstroke Diesel

This repair kit worked great. These particular sensors had a history of high voltage causing fires or causing a Ford to actually recall them, but FYI. The solution for the Ford was 2 built-in fuses that would prevent said fires. Before adding this kit I got a high voltage warning on the Forscan with my laptop with an old sensor, I left the built in fuses in place as a backup for safety and added the extra pigtail included in this kit which then connected to the sensor. I no longer get a voltage

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Some problems

It is recommended to fill the sensor upside down with the brake.

I ordered this part for 04 Explorer 4.0 SOHC. My ABS light came on intermittently and I lost my drive even though the ABS light didn't come on. It was an exact replacement and seems to have solved my ABS problem. The supplied cable was not used. When installing I used google to find the installation procedure. It is recommended to fill the sensor with brake fluid upside down to remove air from the sensor and then remove the old sensor. Wait for the fluid to start bubbling up in the master…

My problem solved! at Brake Tools

My cruise control on my 2001 F-150 has failed. I ran the Ford diagnostics to determine that the problem may have been in my braking system. See the following URL to run a diagnostic test: [.] Your master cylinder has a sensor that will stop travel if you press the brake pedal, even if it's just a small push of the brakes. A touch switch in the master cylinder was part of a Ford recall in the early to mid-2000s. If you still have the original sensor, it's probably orange, like mine. The new…

Fixed my Ford Ranger cruise control problem

TLDR version: This brake repair kit solved my problem with a faulty cruise control on a 2002 Ford Ranger pickup. Received in original Motorcraft packaging. Fits like factory. Went like clockwork. Long version: We have a 2002 Ford Ranger Edge Pickup which is an additional vehicle for us that is used for local transport and gardening. The cruise control stopped working over a year ago, but that wasn't a problem as we rarely drive it long distances. After lugging some gear for my son from…
