Nice plush rug, very rich colors. I was surprised how comfortable it really was. Time will tell how well it holds up when people rub their feet on it. It doesn't have a tag indicating if it's machine washable but the backing is very hard so I don't think you could put it in the washing machine without damaging it. It comes rolled tight. I recommend immediate use. If you're giving it as a gift and want it rolled up so it can be wrapped, I recommend rolling it from the other end and rolling it looser. As I unrolled it, I noticed that about 1 inch from the end, which was twisted tight inside, the tufted yarn was separated about 6 inches in two different places, and I could see the backing. I just rolled it the other way and after 20 minutes everything was smooth and good. No permanent damage - just rolled up. I think if you put it on a flat surface right away you could get the same result.
