I can confirm it works on the original Xbox.
Xbox can format. it does this automatically without asking for permission (I know it's weird). You may want to format it to Fat32 on your computer before inserting it into your Xbox. This is the cheapest drive I've found for it. great for things like installing software mods. Edit: I may have said too soon. I'll try to update this when I'm 100% sure it works as I'm not sure at the moment.
