I had high hopes for these headlights but the design of the lower doors of the new Mazda CX-5 doesn't allow them to project a full picture onto the ground. The doors are equipped with a fold-down protective body panel that prevents dirt from entering the door gap. This creates a barrier for the projector and there is no way to properly position them so they turn off when the door is closed. In addition, the projector units must be designed for a specific right/left position. Since both are the same, you cannot install them in the same position on the opposite side of the vehicle.
