You can do portraits with this lens, but I find that prime lenses are more versatile for that purpose. This lens is a fantastic value for the money and is ideal for shooting landscapes, travel, and street photography. Some pros: 1. Constant luminosity 2. This stabilizer isn't awful at all, and it really shines when working with lower shutter speeds. 3. The crispness is excellent, and the picture is of high quality overall. 4. Bokeh quality is good at 50mm. 5. Price Having these drawbacks: 1. Noisy autofocus 2. There is a distorted appearance at 17 millimeters 3. The autofocus mode is not the quickest option. 4. The autofocus feature can occasionally produce blurry images (be sure to pick your lens carefully and have a lot of patience).
