Review on Brightech Ambience Replacement Solar Panel by April Jackson

Don't get rid of your base!

It's great that you can swap out parts and not throw them away. I have 2 strings so I could tell the string lights were good but the power adapter/charger was bad. I figured I'd just buy a new battery, but it has to be soldered in and it costs $4 more to assemble than a new battery. The string was 3 years old, so I didn't regret a new battery/charger. The kit does not include a mounting clip, so don't throw away your own!

Pros
  • Easy to install, easy to replace. Charge your new panel, then attach it to your previously installed Brightech Solar Light String and you're ready to go. With the included stand and clip, you can place it almost anywhere. Solar strings do not require a socket, so they can also be well illuminated away from the building.
Cons
  • The cord is shorter than other picks
