Early criticism of the delicacy of these glasses seems to have faded into the background. The glasses I received are not fragile. They don't break at a glance. They have a good design with the heavy bottom advertised. I will say that there are two things about these glasses that might make you think. First you will see bubbles in the glass, both on the bottom and on the walls. They're small, especially in the glass walls, but there are a few notable ones at the base. Second, the glass walls have some ribbed imperfections. By that I mean you can feel some texture, which I'm assuming is processing marks or something. But all of this is to say that they are not designed for fancy crystal or anything like that. These are drinking glasses for everyday use that are so versatile that they fit on every table and in every kitchen. They contain a decent portion so you don't have to get up every five minutes to replenish. In terms of packaging and shipping, I received them in good condition - the box was well packed, the glasses were in separate compartments inside the box, and the entire box was wrapped in bubble wrap. No glasses are cracked, let alone broken. So for everyday glass, you could do MUCH worse than this. I think they are good value.
