Works great with Plantronics HW720 after a few uses. I'm buying another one for my other device so I can easily turn it on and off like I would in a call center. What I couldn't get used to right away was the flashing speaker button. When the speaker is disabled, that's the only time it's disabled. The mute button works just as well, but the volume never worked, so I'm tweaking it on the computer anyway. Maybe only some headsets support that, but it doesn't matter. If the mic is static it may be related to the softphone and not the headset or the adapter itself. I ran into this a couple of times when using a 3cx phone system but it worked fine on MicroSIP and Zoiper5. There is no echo and the sound is not "too soft". If you want the best noise-cancelling feature, I highly recommend getting the Krisp so even the kids can't be heard in the background. Krisp works better than RTX Voice.
