I have a wooden ceiling. To set it up to fall up and down with the garage door would require drilling two holes in the ceiling and one hole in the top of the metal door, all in a straight line, and then measuring the rope to fall down the best place to hit my SUV's windshield. Ba is nonsense. I tied a rope to the top lamp, which happened to be in just the right spot. I rarely work in my garage when the car isn't there, and a dangling ball of light doesn't get in the way of anything I want to do. It's not like you'll accidentally trip over it and hurt your head. It took me three attempts to tow and restart the car to get it where I wanted it just by buckled up. It helps a lot if my car is always in the same place. But any hanging ball would do the same for me. One star for the installation if I really followed all the instructions.
