I installed this in an outlet above my counter splashback and under my cabinet. To do this, I had to fold down the holder (Alexa on top, plug on the bottom). Without some clever engineering, this mount wouldn't stay upright and fall off. I had to use velcro, tape one piece to the wall and tape the other piece to the back of this mount to keep it from falling off. This mount does not affect the sound in any way and keeps the wire neat and tidy.
