As a beginner in knitting, I was hesitant to buy expensive accessories. My first circle was bamboo with a clear acrylic compound. no All the twists, and even after some helpful straightening tips, ended up twisting again, making my knitting projects a serious pain in the ass. Found this while browsing and the price seemed reasonable - wow. What a difference, couldn't be happier. Yes, once opened you have to relax and "stretch", but it was such an improvement that I've ordered more different sizes and lengths for other projects. Plus it's so durable! I used them to make a simple sofa and the project started to gain weight. But it still holds. These really are the best circular needles I've ever used as a beginner. Since the tips are metal, the yarn can be slippery, but I haven't had any problems or discomfort with it. Highly recommended!
