I needed some clamps that would lay flat on those (awful) days when a person goes to the dentist or is subjected to some other form of torture that involves them sitting in a chair have to lie back. You know, something that doesn't break easily, something to rest your head on comfortably, etc. They're perfect for those days -- and for those days when you really don't need anything fancy to tie your hair back. They are attractive, easy to use, durable and perfect for my needs. Couldn't be happier (and I have very thin hair for those who need this info). And by the way, they look good when in use. No beads, just nice knots and spacing. Because the combs are made of a softer material, they don't "sting" like harder plastic combs.
