I have consistently given this support a 4 or 5 star rating and settled on a 4. It's a good prop and I'm glad we have it BUT there's some frustration with it.1. I had a very painful hip that probably turned into a sprain and when my wife broke her leg seriously I overdid it and tore the hamstring. The doctor gave me a compression sleeve which was useless after the first 3 days. I had already ordered this when my leg started to hurt and when the sleeve got to the point it never stayed in place, reminded me it had arrived grabbed it and used it. I mostly sat for the first few days and it was fine to stay there. But as soon as I had to walk a lot more and put it on, it started slipping. However, there are times when I can push myself hard enough to stay. **KEY: This is somewhere between tight and too tight, and as my hamstring healed I didn't have to hold it so tight that it sank even more. First just the bottom 2 straps and now the entire bracket.2. I put it on and fasten it in a seated position and then stand up to tighten/adjust it. Sometimes it works, and sometimes, like today, I can't get it to be comfortable at all. I finally took it off after it fell off with every step.3. I love the support he gives me when I'm doing things right. I don't like the discomfort of not being able to bring it to this place. There's a fine line between being useful and being useful and being hurtful and/or slippery. If I can do it, it's okay if I can't. 4. I think it's a good brace and we'll keep it. Oftentimes, one of us has hurt something so badly that it turns out to be useful. However, as my doctor said, you don't use these things all the time, you use them as needed. So we will have it, it will be useful, but to the extent and as far as we can get it to give us the comfort and relief we need. In general, this is a good bracket. I like the design. I don't know what to do differently. Sitting to put it on helped getting up and getting dressed, but do it right and stay. That's what makes me a star, but when it works, it works well. In other words, I'm glad we have it, but.
