I had a 7 inch disc shaped silicone mold with scratches and abrasions on the surface which naturally carry over to all epoxy parts, molded with a mold. So I mixed up a batch of this silicone, poured just enough to cover the bottom of the mold, covered and allowed to set. The new floor surface was not only immaculate, it was also shinier than the original surface. The silicone adheres fairly well to the existing mold but doesn't stick to it permanently so it's basically an insert - if the surface gets scratched you can pull it out all the way and repeat the process!
