Easy to use - Power

Great product. So easy to use as long as your form is good. I had a hole and the silicone showed me where it was. Also, I recommend painting the silicone a color that you don't normally use so it's easier to see when casting if you're speaking from the perspective of someone using the resin. So far I haven't had any problems with shapes that I've added pigments to.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Nothing here

Amazing product but small, smaller than advertised for my

This was a great product for a newbie but as other reviews have said these are really small containers and my jar is smaller than advertised. It was supposed to be over 10 oz but I only had 8 😕. While it was easy to use and the product was great, it wasn't enough to complete my project. I wouldn't buy it again just because of the size.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Big! But short run time

Easy to use as advertised decided to use this instead of a rubber molding to see if it works better and although it works I still didn't expect a short run time from it, It will begin to set within 10 minutes of mixing properly, so make sure you have your mold ready. As mentioned, it comes in smaller bottles than expected, but shipping was fast!

It worked well! for molding and casting

This product is good for making a pair of translucent UV resin molds. I recommend watching a few videos for tips on building shapes, such as: B. pouring from a height to reduce bubbles and different ways of framing a mold. I was happy to use LEGO blocks and tape (doesn't hurt LEGO) or a tip. about using uncooked rice to measure the required volume. Overall I've been happy with this product and the molds I've created with it.

SHORT expiry date

Wanted to put two stars before I looked for the problem and realized what went wrong. Basically, as far as I know, 2 hour degassing provides a SUPER short shelf life (this stuff starts to thicken after a few minutes of mixing. Too much to work with, can't just stir and keep going). One shape I managed to make came out fine but sadly the rest wasted for nothing as I don't know it thickens that quickly. This stuff is great for smaller projects, but I wouldn't recommend using all the vials at…

Inconsistent results

The results of this product are inconsistent, which may result in waste. I've created a few shapes that gave great results and others never seem to freeze. After having an issue with the setup for the first time, I decided that 12 hours wasn't enough and decided to wait 24 hours to try again. The results were still inconsistent, with one giving perfect results and the other being useless. Also, one of the measuring cups that came with it was broken and two are needed to use this product. For…

You can use it to repair defects in your existing molds.

I had a 7 inch disc shaped silicone mold with scratches and abrasions on the surface which naturally carry over to all epoxy parts, molded with a mold. So I mixed up a batch of this silicone, poured just enough to cover the bottom of the mold, covered and allowed to set. The new floor surface was not only immaculate, it was also shinier than the original surface. The silicone adheres fairly well to the existing mold but doesn't stick to it permanently so it's basically an insert - if the…
