Bought this with my new AT&T Nighthawk Access Point. I'm using this setup in a rural area with very poor cellular coverage. Since the access point was new, I first set it up without an antenna to see what kind of signal it would receive. I tried different rooms in the house and the signal was bad everywhere. Then I installed the antenna and tried again in different places including windows. To my dismay, it didn't improve my signal strength and seemed to decrease it in places. Then, for fun, I attached it to the glass on the front of a painting that was hanging in the living room (picture attached). What do you know, the signal level increased by 5 dBm, and now it showed as "Fair", not "Bad". After a few tries I fixed it on the wall next to the painting and the signal returned to Bad. I put it back on the picture and it went back to the fair. He left him in the picture and has stayed at the show ever since. It does the job I need it for, but if I wasn't thinking "out of the box" I'd say it doesn't work and return it.
