Review on Original MantleClip Pack Brass by Kimberly Wells

I bought eight from Revain/Haute Decor to use on my oak mantle (1 1/4 inch thick). They are made from very durable metal with a shiny brass finish. The two areas that make contact with the coat have a clear plastic pad (you can only see the pad in the product photo). I modified mine by squeezing the small loop a little tighter with less slack to allow the stockings don't slip out. A pair of ChannelLocks with plastic on the jaws protected the brass finish. The base gap from the factory is about 2 inches, and my coat is 1 1/4 inches, so I gently squeezed it until the gap was about 1 inch. Coat, easy to unbutton. They seem to stay in place and all stockings are hung neatly. I haven't "loaded" the stockings yet (that's Santa's job), but I expect they won't have any trouble holding up enough.
