This LED string really took my 6ft Christmas tree to the next level. I was intrigued by the flicker setting as it looked so magical, but was wondering if I should have another string of fixed lights. When I put them on a tree, I found that everything was fine. For an item this small (about the size of a wrapped brick), it makes a world of difference. I liked the long wire that allows you to connect the light away from the tree. I originally used an outlet next to a tree, but was bothered by this large dark plug (about twice the size of a standard plug) that was part of the tree's look. So I pushed it back about 6 feet with the wire running in front of the sliding glass door. The cable is so thin it's almost invisible. And I am not in the situation where the string of lights starts under a tree because the cord is not long enough. You can't tie two of these together, but this long thread filled out my 6 foot tree perfectly. For a larger tree or if you're looking for a more streamlined look, you may need a second line. It appears to be well made and relatively tangle free and unlike most garlands it should last for many years. LED is the way to go.
