I expected it to be something like the old Longjohns I wore as a kid and later when I was working outdoors in the winter. I wore these old ones when putting chains on thunder in a snow storm. They arrived and the very first thing that struck me was that they are like t-shirt material, nice and soft, thin. I put them on and found that they offered minimal protection. It's a light pair of long johns and I don't see anything like hot chili and other brands on sale. But you get what you paid for. They offer some warmth but don't expect them to be useful in temperatures below 20 degrees, you need something warmer. But again, they are soft and comfortable.
