I was curious to know her weight. I think maybe they are nominally 32 ounces/dozen. The listing says 5.7 pounds, which is 30.4 ounces per dozen. When I received them they weighed 29.1 oz/dose. (total 87.2 see photo). Then I washed and dried them three times without using them. Yes, they shed a lot, like any plush cotton towel, and now weigh 28.3 ounces per dose. (total 85.0). This doesn't bother me as I bought very thick bath towels a long time ago and they still feel great even though they have shed over the years as well. the same treatment. They appear thin and fragile despite being the same weight because they are larger (16 x 19 vs. 14 x 17). You're only shedding 0.2 ounces per dose, but the loops are spaced far apart and they definitely don't absorb that much. Bottom line, they feel fat and absorb _a lot_ of liquid. I would buy again.
