I wasn't sure if this would be effective so this is a trial version. I installed the first of two sensors near my home. While fumbling with it, I heard an alarm ringing inside (I had the volume turned up). When I finished, he stopped. I later tested it by walking outside in that direction - it sounded! I then set up a second one on the other side of the house opposite (very close to the iron gate. I later heard an alarm (but didn't know which sensor was triggered). I went outside to check and my dog was at the gate! He found him! I took him away from the gate (but still on my way to the gate and no warning since. I'll contact you in a while to see if I'm happy. I took him away from the Star because I couldn't know which one of them worked (I changed the "sound" but it changes both. It seems you need cameras too, but it detects movement well. Update: I did this for a few weeks and I changed the alarm sound but it changes both sensors so I still can't tell which side of the house to check without looking at the cameras... the possum on top of the fence (I was relieved that it wasn't like that man climbing over the fence) but the one on the other side of the house warned me as some neighbors came to the side during business (I think to see my dogs). I had a few false alarms and realized it picked up the moving shadows of my trees in the wind. When that happens I see a moving shadow and I know he caused it. I could move it out of the tree shadow area, but that's where I really want it to be. Otherwise, every fear was actually "somethingโ in the way. Most importantly when my dogs started barking and I let them out (in the middle of the night) and they went straight to the gate. I called 911 because my dogs were so serious (no playful hello bark). While on the phone to 911 (and the police are on their way, my sensor went off! I told the 911 agent that someone was in my driveway since I could see the other side of the house with my camera. It definitely was! The police knew exactly where to go because the unfortunate thief was "caught" by the alarm sensor watch the cameras.
