This gadget is really useless. First, it doesn't work if the avocado is ripe. So if you want to make guacamole when the fruit is pretty soft, it just makes a big mess when you squeeze it to slice. This only works with fairly firm avocados. The pulled part of the gadget isn't as big as the avocado itself, so it won't even work on a hard avocado. It's really nice to have the core function because it lifts the core right onto the hard avocado. But again, it won't work if the avocado is soft. Save some money and just peel and cut the avocado yourself.
