My son wore them for a week in the mountains and lakes of East Tennessee. It's a very rocky area and he exceeded my comfort level several times and his shoes never slipped on the rocks. and his feet never slipped in his shoes. We all have similar/favorite shoes in the family and we will never go back to standard Walmart shoes if you know what I'm talking about. Yes, they're a little pricey, but you'll be glad you spent the money when you first stepped on something underwater and your toes don't feel like they're broken or when you pop out of all the sand and / or mud out when you shake them under water because of the excellent drainage built into this product.
