. I bought this because I was trying to saw through a piece of deposited ash and the work blade on my 14" Ridgid band saw did it (quite literally ) would not cut. After installing this new blade, the band saw went through the ashes like clockwork. I was impressed. Absolutely worth the price. A few things I found helpful. If you're unfamiliar with changing a bandsaw blade (I wasn't), it's helpful to watch a few videos and have the manufacturer's manual handy to figure out how to remove all the guides and guards. My saw had at least half a dozen things on the top, bottom and side that needed to be moved/removed before the new blade arrived. The pair were hidden under a table. Without the resources it would have taken me much longer to figure it out. While wearing gloves, unwrap the new blade. The blade is like barbed wire and the ring of metal acts like a spring, so spinning it up can be a little exciting — you don't want a few yards of razor-sharp metal opening up and flying around your face or worse. Bare hands are difficult to control. Mine was on a concrete floor. Lesson learned. After installation, take the time to make all adjustments so the sign tracks the tires accurately, with the correct tension, perpendicular to the table, and with minimal vibration or drift. Again, Youtube and the guide are your friends. It took me about 30 minutes to get everything done, but it was a very good investment of time and the tool was easy to use afterwards. Really nice to use now.
