Bought 3 weeks ago and I'm glad I did. The pluses include the build quality of the transmitter and receiver, battery capacity, the location of the buttons, the intensity of vibration and the volume of beeps, the strength of the blows. There are only two minuses. First, there's no way to attach a strap to the remote so you can hang it around your neck. Second, the kit includes only one length of metal spikes attached to the collar to allow for shock loading. My dog is an Australian Cattle Dog and although his coat is not that thick he doesn't feel anything until the shock is set to 14 out of 15 - hardly anything. I know the collar hits at lower settings because I tested it with the flashlight/tester on.
