Review on Columbia Women's Splash Little Jacket: Stylish and Functional Women's Clothing by Paul Rosemark

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Straps, fitted armholes

I normally wear a size 20W or 2x for almost every garment I wear, but due to comments about the slim fit of this jacket I have ordered up to 3x for layering. The sleeves are VERY long - even at 5ft 6in they were below the fingertips. The cuffs of the sleeves have Velcro, but there is a balloon effect between the wrist and the elbow. The shoulder and chest area is too loose (surprised me because of my broad shoulders) The hip area was good - neither loose nor tight. The biggest issue with the fit seems to be tight armholes. This jacket isn't designed for lightness in that area -- layering with a mid-weight sweater made the armhole area very tight. I chose blazers with more room in the armhole area. This gives the wearer the feeling that the shoulders are too small. The overall effect of loose shoulders, loose breasts, tight armholes, and puffed sleeves was not comfortable. rtable or attractive. I ordered the Sea Salt Dotty Dye Print. I love my other Sea Salt Columbia jackets (fleece and soft shell) but the color of this jacket was a little disappointing. The background is sea salt and the subtle print is beige. Because of this, the jacket looks cream.
