Columbia Women's Splash Little Jacket: Stylish and Functional Women's Clothing Review

I walk at least two miles down the road every day and this coat is fantastic. This season I've had a couple of "waterproof" raincoats that weren't actually waterproof, but this jacket is waterproof. It is unlined and I highly recommend using a padded or lightweight fleece underneath. I like the weight because it rains in PNW even in the summer so I can wear this jacket all year round. I have white and it's white, but there's a lot of light gray in it so it's not too white.

I have ordered 2 jackets and am very satisfied. I'm 5ft 7" and I usually wear 16/18 pants and L/XL tops. It's a bit roomy but I love that I can wear it under my jacket on cold days in the fall and winter. It's lightweight and lightly lined, but not flimsy like one of those packable windbreakers. I normally wear a size 20W or 2x for almost every garment I wear, but due to comments about the slim fit of this jacket I have ordered up to 3x for layering. The sleeves are VERY long - even at 5ft 6in they were below the fingertips. The cuffs of the sleeves have Velcro, but there is a balloon effect between the wrist and the elbow. I went oversize on this jacket because the undersized jacket has an awkward cutout in the armholes making it awkward and impossible to wear with a to combine with another jacket. This oversized jacket had enough room to wear a Columbia fleece jacket underneath and the armholes were relaxed. This jacket is very well made and looks and feels very high quality. However, if you plan on ordering plus-size clothing, you should probably expect it to be slightly larger than other "street" lines.
