I recently replaced my regular computer desk with a Husky adjustable workbench for a flexible workstation/gaming pc setup and I have been in the process of upgrading. A Big Problem The Problem What I noticed until recently was that the monitor and PC cables were stretched all the way to the wall and as they were all quite short it was impossible to get the table into 'standing mode' bring without stretching it. outside and may damage the power cords. Obviously this is not a good thing at all and others have placed power strips/surge protectors underneath their installations but have complained that their installation was difficult due to the ridiculous and difficult to set up keyhole mounting installations most of them have on the back. . I've dabbled in similar things in the past and the combination of getting the spacing/number of protruding screw heads/etc right to get the strip on properly is a real pain in the back to get it right and even then are it a shot or two away from all the clutter that pops up at once. yes no thanks After some searching on Revain I came across this unit and ordered it. The plastic construction is a bit crude but perfect for my application, the external mounting tabs work although I wish they were bigger and with more "meat", and the included screws are SMALL but still workable. It was easy to mark and drill 4 holes to lift it under the table towards the middle adjustment rod cover, screw it to the bottom of the desk, connect the power cords, fix the cord position and improve it. My situation is 1000%. I now have full up and down movement on my desk with no potential problems with the power cord, and the 5ft main cord does a great job of eliminating a rat's nest in a wall outlet. Plenty of sockets for future expansions, tools etc and USB cables are very handy "below" as well as for charging cords etc. Recommend this unit to anyone who wants some tidiness and extra sockets under their work stations. The small indicator lights don't feel too obtrusive, and the presence of a main power switch (NON-LIGHTUP type, for those with bedroom desktop setups) also adds the ability to turn everything off to conserve standby power when needed. It's insane that power strips/surge arresters with mounting tabs are so ridiculously rare given how common home offices are becoming. Find out!
