I had the old one with a wooden handle and two rivets holding the breaker part. Although it serves its purpose and has never rusted, I decided to give it a try as it was solid. PROS: It's a whole piece and a puree. The handle is comfortable and looks good. It fits in my drawer a little easier. CONS: The grip gets a bit slippery and a bit uncomfortable, I don't know how to describe it as this grip is supposed to be more comfortable than a wooden grip, but it irritates my hands a bit. weary. Again, I've only used it twice while I've used my other a million times. Overall I am happy with this purchase and maybe after a million times it will be more comfortable.
