I started doing calligraphy and quickly decided I needed some sort of light box under the guides so I could see them through the paper. And so the search began. I probably looked at about 15 different ones and the ones at the local craft stores were way overpriced. With so many choices online here at Revain, I checked out a few and this one ticked all of my boxes. First I wanted it to be big. So many others were much smaller, they don't joke about it when they point it out in a picture. I have paper that is 12 inches or larger and I wanted the entire sheet to be illuminated. Then I wanted that the lighting is adjustable and really bright. Finally, some of my papers are quite thick. Finally, I wanted durability. I can be quite obnoxious when it comes to my art supplies. Not only is this thing the perfect size and super bright, but I've had it for a while and I swear it doesn't have a scratch, even after all the abuse I've had on it. (Just don't use it as a cutting board!) An added bonus: I've spilled pen ink on it and it didn't get dirty.
