Review on Optimized AmazonBasics MERV Furnace Air Filter by Mark Kolipano

I bought these MERV 11 filters hoping to find a cheaper alternative to some of the well known brands I usually buy. It is important for a person suffering from asthma and allergies to buy a decent filter. Good first. The filters are well made. They are reinforced and hold their shape better than some of the other brands I've tried. They're pretty good at picking up dust. Now for the bad. The filters seem to have parts that are coming loose and don't seem to be consistent throughout. It doesn't have any gaps, just a kind of loose feel. Airflow isn't as good compared to some other Merv 11 filters I've tried. It's not the worst I've seen, maybe average. The filters were shipped in a soft box and were slightly bent in shipping. They mostly stick together, but I think that's why some of them have a "loose" material to the touch. They're better than big-brand low-end filters, but not necessarily as good at airflow as some others. If you can't find your favorite filters or need to save some money, they're fine and will help.
