I used these ring connectors for my aluminum boat project. They're on the lighter side of things, but they got the job done. They have a small hole/slot at the top where the cable goes in. This is caused by the machine flattening the pipe. I tried soldering a few closed ones, but ended up putting a few layers of liquid electrical tape over the hole in addition to the shrink tubing (after inserting/crimping the wire). Also, they are easy to crimp (IWISS crimping tool), they look good and feel durable. The included rubber covers are useless. Instead, I suggest buying adhesive-backed heat shrink tubing.
