Review on Enhanced Diamond Machine Technology DMT D6FX by Aaron Parish

Disappointed with the quality

I bought this stone as new. The surface of the stone is perfectly flat, so the message about the perfect flatness of DMT stones seems to be true. The problem, however, is that when it arrived it was rusty on both the sides and the diamond surface. Pretty shame for such an expensive and high quality tool (at least that's what they call it). This was the first time I bought such a stone, DMT, because everyone says it is of very good quality, but from now on I will avoid diamond stones. They are expensive and it seems that even DMT cannot guarantee good quality in all aspects. I don't really trust these things now. I'll stick with my water stones, they don't rust and are a lot cheaper. Also, since I've spoken to others about this issue, a few other people have reported having the same issue when receiving DMT stones. If you need diamond stones for a special application, e.g. B. for sharpening very hard metal or for sharpening precision equipment. I think in this case buying such stones can be profitable. But for most other purposes like general tool sharpening etc I wouldn't buy something like this again. It's overpriced, and yet these things don't seem to last as long as one would expect for the price, regardless of the brand.

Pros
  • Power and hand tools
Cons
  • Slightly torn
