This is my first ceiling fan in about 30 years. I had Casablanca in my old house and was very happy with it. More than one source told me that Casablanca isn't what it used to be, so I looked elsewhere. I chose this Emerson and was a bit disappointed: 1. It is overpriced for what it is. Plastic blades - come on.2. Yes, it moves a lot of air, but it wobbles a little. Would expect a better balance for a fan at this price point.3. The biggest disappointment is the light. It gets very bright, but can only be dimmed to a limited extent. I would like it to be darker than it is, but I can't. I've called Emerson customer service and asked for a different (internal) lighting controller or LED board, but that's not possible.
