Review on 💧 Hydro-Logic Stealth-RO100/200 Flushing Kit for Membranes by Jeff Robeson

My installation was too easy. I added a pre-filter (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BA9DESA?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00) that comes with 3/8" quick disconnects. My initial PPM was never below 375, we often found it around 500. We used restrictive adjustment (included in the RO system) because above a specific PPM (can't remember but I think it was 330 or so similar) the instructions say use at your own risk. And it's in big, bold letters. This shortens the life of the membrane and leads to premature failures. The pre-filter we used brings the PPM down to around 175 or so. Much better and less wasteful. We used a flush kit (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0047LABHA?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00) and this setup was a REAL handle too. 2 minute job if you take care of the clock like a hourly worker. unsuccessful attempt to polish the post filter (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BA9DE94?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00). It differs from the pre-filter in that it uses a 1/4" quick connector. Otherwise the same filter, but you have to be careful what you need depending on what you want to filter - before or after filtering. Think on that: 3/8" for inlet water, 1/4" for system balance. Our latest PPM so far (still only 10 gallons through, after flushing) is around 5-7 right now. I would call it a success. Nice unit for the price The option (albeit expensive) to upgrade to the '200' system is good too It would have been nice to have a flush kit included in the base unit but I understand (should be an overwhelming feeling ), to be able to make a few extra bucks by breaking it out and making it an 'option.' Even if we don't buy it, you'll probably be buying replacement membranes quicker and more often (hey, look , they sell too!) It's just our world's economy a m work, I can't blame them.
