Worked great! - Magnetic Circuit Breakers

Disclaimer: I'm not an electrician so anything I say here may be wrong. Contact a licensed electrician for electrical work. The panel is dangerous and can be extremely harmful! A previous resident had a spa and a 50 amp GFC switch for it. My plan was to remove that old circuit breaker and put spd in its place. First, I tried one of those big suction cups that attach to your box with a knockout. However, there were no holes on the side of my panel box and the wires weren't long enough. I didn't want to use wire nuts in my panel because it looked like a sketch so I was SOL. Then I discovered br250sur but it was a breaker in addition to the surge protector and I didn't need a breaker, just type 2 SPD. Besides, finding her was a nightmare. Then I found brsurge! Exactly what I needed. Since I already had the slots for the switch I just removed the old 50 amp GFC switch, plugged it in and I was done in 5 minutes. (I removed the old wiring and plumbing from the box a long time ago. I also reinstalled the plumbing plug to cover the hole in the floor that was used in the spa.) Tip: You may already know that Eaton have two types of has breakers , h and br. I assumed I had CH because a lot of my breakers say cutler hammer. But actually I have a BR type. Color is the key to determining if you have an Eaton box. If your switches have brown switches use CH, if they are black use BR.
