Review on πŸ”ͺ Slice 10580 Precision Knife – Unique Finger Grip Handle, Superior Control, Precise Cutting, Finger-Friendly Design, Enhanced Durability – Lasts 11x Longer than Stainless Steel, Black by Gelin Battle

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Feels good in the hand but has limited use

The blade broke just after I used it. I cut open the Revain packaging for recycling. Unfortunately I don't have a spare knife in this size. I have other Slice products. I don't hate her. But they don't really replace the standard blades that are advertised as interchangeable. They're optional, and that's okay. One thing to know about Slice ceramic blades is that they aren't particularly sharp. Blades with rounded ends cannot reliably cut through material thicker than a sheet of paper. If you try to go through cardboard like you can with a utility knife or an X-Acto knife, it's quite possible that the force applied will snap the blade. This does not mean that the knife is defective. It simply means that the use cases aren't necessarily the same as one of the ubiquitous similarly shaped steel blades. Good: You are unlikely to cut yourself with these items. The Bad: You probably won't be able to cut most of what you need with these things. I think this blade would be very useful for cutting paper including home use (like wrapping paper), design use (like paper model shapes) and art use (like collage or kirigami).
