Review on 🔩 DT Swiss MTB Front Steel Hub Skewer DT RWS, 100mm - Enhanced for SEO by Jake Powell

I noticed that the front wheel of my bike was leaning to one side so I loosened this quick release, straightened it and started tightening it. As soon as I started tightening I heard a loud pop and the nut completely loosened and fell out. Upon closer inspection, the threads at the top of the QR had completely failed and loosened. I returned to this product page to inquire about the warranty and see if anyone reported this issue. I've seen at least one other reviewer with the same issue, so I'm not interested in a guarantee. I did notice the wheel tilting to one side, but if I didn't notice it and it wasn't helping me ride, I might be writing this review from the hospital. According to the product description, this item could have been manufactured in Switzerland, Poland or Taiwan. . That's one hell of a difference in terms of national reputation for manufacturing quality. I assume mine was made in Taiwan. I will no longer play dice with this product. TLDR: Very easy to twist and fail; unsure; look elsewhere
