The nut broke off when hand tightened.

Mother jumped off. Dangerous product. It's very easy to overdrive. Due to the small size of the thread (it's aluminum), it's better to work with a steel nut.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Unsure

The only skewer worth the money

If you use traditional skewers, even expensive ones, ditch them and buy a set of these DT Swiss RWS skewers. All the power of a TA clamp but the simplicity of skewers to keep everything in one place. Nobody needs these brackets! If your bike is suffering from loose skewers, this is the solution.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Clarity

I bought these skewers after replacing the rotor on my .

I bought these picks after increasing the front brake disc from 160mm to 180mm. The larger rotor exacerbated the problem of my salsa skewers not closing tight enough, which allowed the forks to flex and the rotor to rub on the brake pads. These things are firmly and firmly fixed. Problem solved!

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Solid interface, excellent fit and finish, easy to put on and align.

I've read that they stiffen the front (and back) of my bike. I don't know if they did it or not, but it's really awesome. The construction is excellent. It is easier to achieve the desired clamping force than with a quick release. I wish they had a hex interface as well so I could use a torque wrench, but I'm lucky enough to keep them.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not the best

I was skeptical because I like simple things.

. However, these skewers are how they should have been designed from the start. Just twist it like an old fake until you get the tension you want, then pull the knob out and twist to the position that works best for your derailleur, disc brake, fork or whatever. Just very well thought out.

Completely failed after 8 months

I noticed that the front wheel of my bike was leaning to one side so I loosened this quick release, straightened it and started tightening it. As soon as I started tightening I heard a loud pop and the nut completely loosened and fell out. Upon closer inspection, the threads at the top of the QR had completely failed and loosened. I returned to this product page to inquire about the warranty and see if anyone reported this issue. I've seen at least one other reviewer with the same issue, so I'm

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Great product, just received the wrong one

Whilst the quality of these DT Swiss parts is undeniable, unfortunately I ordered the wrong size for my bike. The typical DT Swiss RWS size for front wheels is 5mm x 100mm. If you have a larger thru-bolt hub (no springs) the standard size is usually 10mm x 100mm. They have much thicker bolts and are more common on mountain bikes. When the end cap on my bike broke and the ratchet snapped off, I was confused by the measurements as they aren't usually marked on the parts themselves. It wasn't…

Pros
  • Great overall specs

  • Doubtful
