I bought this to replace a regular 6 socket lamp. In addition to the usual three-pin plugs, I had a USB adapter and a night light, but there wasn't enough space for everything. The new contraption has room for supplies and the shelf is useful. The built-in night light branches beautifully. The device connects to a wall outlet with a single 3-pin plug. It has a screw to attach the adapter to the center hole in the double socket, but the bathroom socket didn't have it. In my case, however, a single plug holds the device securely enough.
