Great old school standard test
I had the 1250n a long time ago and it has never let me down. Don't worry about the battery or cables. However, they must maintain a constant crankshaft RPM (there is an LED speed indicator) to alert you. It's harder to work with than electronic blocks, but it's always been the benchmark for the old-school megger. I use mine to increase my electronic blocks.
