I used to have a 1-into-4 7dB balanced splitter with an unused output. I thought why not get this splitter and remove the unused port. I connected my cable modem to the strongest output port on this splitter and you can see that the signal strength on my modem has improved across the board (see before and after photos). I blocked only one download channel with the old splitter and now have blocked 4 channels. Internet speed has also been increased. With an investment of $5, one cannot ask for more.
