Updated original review (below). Received a new transit the next day after requesting a replacement, so +. After fitting the spare gear I immediately noticed that it took half the time to level it and I could hear what I thought was the internally working compensator (the new one was louder than the first one anyway). I checked again as stated and was within 1/16 inch so I am happy with the product now. so he was even. I went through the directions to check the line of sight and she was over 12 inches at 111 feet using her directions up to a T and I can't adjust it that much. Repeated the procedure twice and the same. Another transit is imminent but I'm not thrilled as I thought they should be very accurate as they are accurate to within 4mm per kilometer.
