Review on PaceSetter 70-1200 Black Exhaust Header: Boost Performance and Style by Nick Ross

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Excellent but difficult to set.

Let's start at the beginning. It came on time with everything you needed included. Header processing is a bit bad but it works. Dismantling the old collector was not difficult. Replacing the air valve and oxygen sensor was painless. The assembly on the cylinder head was not difficult. Then comes the difficult part. Flange mounting was an absolute nightmare. The bolts were too short so I cut the flange springs in half to compensate. Installing the collectors on the flange yourself is almost impossible. Much easier with an extra pair of hands. Tighten one screw before trying the second. The converter flange was ok. Manifolds allow the engine to breathe much better than the old manifold and pipe. Much more power at low revs, it's a little quieter and sounds GREAT! A total of 4 out of 5 points for ease of installation and quality. *** Also had to move the air valve with the 90 degree tube to clear the oil filler tube ********* Update ***** Had to replace the exhaust pipe gasket with a new one. The supplied gasket literally fell apart 3 months after installation. ****Update***** The elbow where the pipes are connected to is rusting after 2 years. It's going to the landfill.
