I bought a cheap two prong cleat remover from my local golf and sporting goods store and it broke in my hand immediately when trying to remove my very first plastic cleat! The problem was the fragile plastic handle. CHAMP Thorn Remover worked great. I have to say that in order for the 2 prong bit to work it is better to remove the tiny pebbles or dirt stuck in the two holes of the problematic cleat as both prongs must be inserted. Only if you can't even see two holes use 6 prongs to pry it out. Only if necessary, as a last resort, try 8 prongs to pry it out with a lever.
