Works on really torn and worn plastic cleats

I bought a cheap two prong cleat remover from my local golf and sporting goods store and it broke in my hand immediately when trying to remove my very first plastic cleat! The problem was the fragile plastic handle. CHAMP Thorn Remover worked great. I have to say that in order for the 2 prong bit to work it is better to remove the tiny pebbles or dirt stuck in the two holes of the problematic cleat as both prongs must be inserted. Only if you can't even see two holes use 6 prongs to pry it out.

  • Consistent test results

  • Ugly packaging

A Must Have Spike Replacement Item

I bought these along with the spikes to replace my golf shoes. Many replacement spikes come with a simple metal tool. Throw it in the trash and buy it. The spikes are very difficult to remove and you will need such a tool to drive them in and out. I also followed another reviewer's advice which was to spray some WD40 on the spikes before taking them off. Even though they are rubber, the WD40 really helped loosen the old lugs. Then they broke off with the help of this tool. (They also use this…

I wish I had had one like this a few years ago

Using a standard two tooth tool, even with branded spikes (Champ), two small holes will come out when the worn spikes are removed. I had to use a flathead screwdriver and just pry the spikes out, not sure if that would rip off the internal socket. What a mess. FINALLY, there is a tool that reverses the shape of several types of popular pimples to create a "bond" around the entire pimple. Kudos to everyone who came up with this little need. If you're changing cleat types from twist and click, do

Replacement Spike

After reading other reviews I was concerned about how easy it would be to remove spikes from Nike shoes. I bought Champs Tri-Loc spikes with this ratchet. It worked like a charm to remove the worn out spikes. 6 prongs are perfect for Tri-Loc spikes. I didn't have to drill anything. The tool comes with a loosening and tightening ratchet for extra torque. Others say the spikes fell out. I recommend listening for a click when tightening. Once you hear a click, turn it a little further until you…

Best tool for removing shoe cleats

I only got this because I couldn't get my old dual post cleat removers to loosen these very worn quick twist lock cleats. This tool is great because you can get a great cleat lever and the two included cleat removal tools (slightly different for the two cleat types) grab the outside of the cleats. This makes removal and installation a breeze. What I also like is that the packaging snaps open so you can easily store it again next time (I keep mine on a clothespin hook). It also works as a…

Must have in your golf bag if your shoes have removable spikes.

To be honest I wasn't expecting much from a $10 key. But this tool works great! Previously, I used needle nose pliers to remove and replace spikes in my golf shoes. Now that I've started to develop arthritis in my hands it doesn't work as well and the spiked nose had ripped off the spikes so they couldn't be reused in an emergency. That's why I bought this tool. Its simplicity is impressive. It took me less than 5 minutes to remove and replace all of the spikes on both shoes. I keep asking…

Good but not the best in the sport

I am 99% sure mine is defective. It comes with no instructions so I'm assuming it's pretty easy to use, but when I try to insert either end it doesn't snap or anything. In fact, it almost never happens. I can unscrew the little black thing, but I don't understand what it's for. The little switch that lets you toggle between tightening and loosening is also very difficult to toggle back and forth. Long story short, I love Revain and they hardly ever hurt me, but this time I feel like I've had 10

Easily removes all types of golf cleats

Ordered this as a Christmas present for my father, an avid golfer and thrifty in changing his own cleats. Before receiving my gift, he was struggling to remove his studs with another stud remover that didn't give him adequate grip on each stud. He had to resort to pliers to pry parts of the bolts out with this puller, and while he was telling the story he seemed jaded enough to force me to make the purchase. Spikes with ease from 3 pairs of golf shoes. The process took less than 5 minutes for…
