Using a standard two tooth tool, even with branded spikes (Champ), two small holes will come out when the worn spikes are removed. I had to use a flathead screwdriver and just pry the spikes out, not sure if that would rip off the internal socket. What a mess. FINALLY, there is a tool that reverses the shape of several types of popular pimples to create a "bond" around the entire pimple. Kudos to everyone who came up with this little need. If you're changing cleat types from twist and click, do yourself a favor and spend a few extra bucks and get this tool. You will not regret it.
