I only bought red and cream. I don't think it's any different from Super Saver. The skeins are large, but 3 regular skeins of the same Super Saver color will cost less and the total length will be more. I can almost always find the hood in the Super Saver, but I haven't been able to find it in the Comfort strands I've bought. The softness depends on the color; Cream was better than red. When I tested the Super Saver in store, the softness of these colors seemed comparable, and many Super Saver colors are softer. It's good for things like toys and jewelry, but I don't think it would be as good for clothing. Lion Brand's Pound of Love is about the same price, has larger footage and is softer. Not to be confused with Red Heart Comfort Sport, a comfortable and lightweight yarn.
