Review on 🔒 CL100218 ASA Strike Plate - 1-1/4" x 4-7/8" x 3/32" by Tell Manufacturing by Zachary Jackson

This is a well made, solid, commercial size strike plate. A good choice for most metal doors. But (and this is a big but) in the photo there is a different model of the striker. I received a Tell Manufacturing CL100218 ASA 32D Strike Striker with the model number listed in the product description and not the product image. CL100218 has a D shaped hole and no small protrusion into the hole. I ordered based on the picture because I specifically needed a rectangular hole and ledge to close my door tight enough to fit the new smart lock. I contacted Tell Manufacturing and was told that the image on this product page is actually for a different model, CL101076, which has a rectangular screw hole with a return lip. As I said this is a very well made strike plate but the one pictured is not what was sent which for me meant I received a mismatched strike plate. I'm uploading a picture of what I received so you can see if the inconsistency matters to you. Incidentally, the manufacturer told me that you can order the CL101076 (which is supposedly pictured on this page) through Ace, Lowes, or True Value.
